I believe healing happens in relationship, with ourselves, with others, and in spaces where we feel safe to show up just as we are. That vision is at the heart of Apple Tree. My sister Kelly and I created this practice because we wanted something more grounded and human. A place where people can breathe deeply, share honestly, and heal in community.

I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor with a Masters in Counselling. My approach is intuitive and depth-oriented, drawing from psychodynamic and Jungian traditions to help people explore the patterns that shape their lives. I also hold Level Two Reiki training, which adds a gentle energetic awareness to the way I support healing. In our groups I lead with warmth, curiosity, and care. There is no pressure to perform or have the answers. You are welcome just as you are!

Like Kelly, I spent more than a decade in therapy with a Jungian counsellor. That work changed my life. It helped me face what I was carrying, begin to heal, and grow into the therapist I am today. Those years of personal work continue to guide me with integrity and compassion. Group therapy, at its best, reminds us that even in our hardest moments we are not alone, and if we can share a laugh along the way, all the better.

Co-founder, Apple Tree Therapeutic Counselling

I have more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field as both a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and a Registered Counselling Therapist. My career has taken me into hospitals, community programs, and counselling rooms, always with the goal of helping people strengthen their wellbeing and move through life’s challenges. I have supported people living with anxiety, chronic pain, caregiver stress, and major life transitions. What I know for certain is that healing happens when we feel understood and supported.

Like my sister Christena, I spent more than a decade in therapy with a Jungian counsellor. That work gave me steadiness when I needed it most and shaped the kind of therapist I am today. Alongside my Masters education and clinical training, those years of personal work gave me a deep respect for the courage it takes to step into therapy.

Christena and I created Apple Tree because we believe in the power of group therapy to bring people together in a way that is safe, supportive, and grounded. In our circles I bring a steady presence, practical strategies, and compassion. You do not need to have everything figured out before you arrive. You just need a place to land.

These are our stories. We’d be honoured to hold space for yours.
